Leicester City midfielder Kyle Isacho has been out since December due to an ankle injury, which he suffered in the FA Cup third round against Everton on January 25th.
The 21-year-old has not played for the Foxes since then, with manager Brendan Rodgers confirming that Isacho is "out for the season" during his pre-season press conference on July 27th.
Isacho joined Leicester from FC Nordsjaelland in the summer of 2018, making 16 appearances for the club before his injury. He scored one goal in those games, as well as providing two assists.
The loss of Isacho will be a significant blow to Leicester's midfield depth, particularly given their reliance on him last season. The England youth international was instrumental in helping the Foxes reach the Europa League final in 2019-20, where they were defeated by Sevilla.
Rodgers acknowledged the impact of Isacho's absence, saying: "We've lost our No 10, we've lost our No 11, we've lost our No 12, we've lost our No 14 - it's a real blow."
However, there are still plenty of talented players who can step up and fill the void left by Isacho. Jamie Vardy remains a key player for the team, while Nampalys Mendy has also impressed at right-back this season.
Despite the setback, Leicester remain hopeful that Isacho will make a full recovery and return to the pitch soon. Until then, the Foxes will have to continue to rely on their other attacking options, such as James Maddison and Youri Tielemans, as well as their defensive midfielders.
In summary, the loss of Kyle Isacho is a big blow for Leicester City, but there are still plenty of talented players who can step up and fill the void left by him. The team will just have to wait and see how quickly Isacho can recover and return to action.
