The Qatar Stars League (QSL) kicked off its new season on Sunday, with a thrilling clash between the two sides - Al Sadd and Al Wasl.
In a dramatic first half, Al Sadd took the lead through Abdulrahman Al Qassem, but Al Wasl equalized in the second period when Khalid Al Bani scored a stunning goal from the penalty spot.
However, in the third period, Al Wasl came back to take the lead again through a penalty kick by Mohamed El-Sayed.
Despite their best efforts, Al Sadd managed to hold onto the lead for most of the match, before Al Wasl finally broke the deadlock in the 91st minute through Ahmed Al Mubarak.
Al Sadd's defense was outstanding throughout the match, with goalkeeper Ali Mohammed making several crucial saves to keep his team at bay.
On the other hand, Al Wasl were able to build up a strong defensive line, with goalkeeper Ahmed Al Fadli being particularly impressive in keeping his team clean sheets.
Overall, it was a very exciting and well-matched game, with both teams coming out fighting hard to secure victory.
It was a great performance from both teams, and they will look to continue this form next season.
